Yes, it separates just like O-W would halve it (pun intended).

 

Custom Emitters

We wanted to be able to change the emitters in case the mood hit us. While playing around with some designs, we realized a few of them as attachments.

Fashioned in 6061 grade aircraft aluminium. Including all the ports, fixtures, and knurled knobs.
This unit weighs in at about 6 pounds and features anchored custom metal parts that are
rooted into the saber hilt so they can't be swiped off.
